Here are the junior sailing programs at Austin Yacht Club.
PBJ – is a summer learn-to-sail class for kids 4-10 years old using Optis and Picos.
Green Fleet – is a year-round beginning Opti racing program for kids 8-15 years old.
Summer Day-Camps — are week-long sessions for 10-18 year-olds in June. Each camp is 9a-4p, M-F. Registration begins in early April.
TSA Practice –is a year-round racing program for 8-15 years old, using Optis, Lasers and FJs, gearing up for the Texas Sailing Association youth circuit.
High School Racing – is a year-round practice program on FJ boats for teens.
Centerboard Nights – is the Thursday night informal racing for adults and kids, from May-September.
Wed Night Laser/Sunfish Races – is an informal racing program on Wed nights at 6p to dark, May-Sept. The best deal at AYC!
Roadrunner Regatta — is the biggest youth sailing event in Austin, held in March each year. Check out the 2010 event info.
